Street Cheer Dance Coaches

“Before coming to work for Thomas Cook I was running my own street cheer and cheerleading academy which runs through term time.

I was given the opportunity to teach street cheer overseas working for Thomas Cook. This fitted in perfectly with my job back home and was a fantastic way to broaden my experiences in street cheer coaching and in life.

I am a fully qualified cheerleading coach and also qualified in street cheer which is essential for this role. Anyone with coaching in cheer or dance can take the street cheer course with the UK cheerleading association. They will help you learn this new, exciting, up and coming style of dance and teach you a wide range of dances and ways to coach.

Street cheer is great for all children, it gives them the opportunity to combine a range of styles and learn new skills, the programme also lets them become choreographers and teach others.

This product was new for 2011 and I believe that street cheer abroad would be a great success in the future from the amazing feedback we have received.

My typical day begins at 9am and finishes at 7pm. We run three sessions a day all lasting one hour. Some evenings I stay for the evening entertainment to put on a Street cheer show and give out the certificates.

Finally I would like to say how much fun my summer was, I met so many fantastic people and made some great friends.

I would tell everyone to take this opportunity, I am grateful to Thomas Cook for letting me become part of their team.”
